This policy describes the information Grade Calculator collects and how it is used. It applies to this website. Use of the site is also subject to the Terms of Service.
Information we collect
Grade calculator. Grades you paste into the calculator are processed in your browser and are not sent to us. We do not record what you calculate or keep our own usage logs.
Clipboard. If you choose to allow it in your browser, the calculator can read your clipboard when you return to the page, only to check whether you copied a gradebook for a different class and offer to use it. This happens in your browser; the clipboard contents are not sent to us or stored. You can turn this off at any time in your browser's site settings.
Platform submissions. If you submit a platform, we store the platform name and web address you enter, the page you paste (including its HTML), your email address if you choose to give one, your approximate country, the time of submission, and a record of your agreement. Pasted pages may contain personal information such as names, ID numbers or grades. Please remove it before submitting.
Hosting and analytics. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address to deliver and secure the site and provides aggregate statistics such as visits, pages viewed, approximate location and browser type. The submission form limits how many submissions one IP address can send per hour; to do this we keep a short-lived counter (for one to two hours) tied to a scrambled version of your IP address.
How we use information
- To operate, secure and improve the site, including preventing abuse.
- To review submitted pages so the calculator can support more platforms, and to contact you about a submission.
We do not sell personal information, use it for advertising, or build profiles of users.
Sharing
Submissions are visible only to the site owner and any administrators the owner appoints. We use service providers to run the site: Cloudflare (hosting, storage and bot checks), Google (sign-in for the site owner only) and an email delivery provider (internal notices of new submissions, which contain the platform name, web address, country and size, but not the page contents). We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
- Submissions are deleted automatically after 30 days, or sooner on request.
Cookies and browser storage
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. The only cookie we set is a sign-in cookie for the site owner. Cloudflare may set cookies that are necessary for security and the bot check. When you paste grades on the home page, they are held in temporary session storage in your browser only long enough to move them to the calculator, then removed.
Children
The calculator can be used by anyone and collects no personal information. The platform submission form is for people aged 13 and older, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You may ask us to delete your submissions or any other information we hold about you. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local law.
Security
The site uses HTTPS, and access to submissions is restricted to verified administrator accounts and enforced on the server, and the submission form limits upload size and request rates. No system is completely secure.

We may update this policy. The date above shows the latest version.
